You may’ve see the A+, B, C ratings on new appliances. Over recent years, these have become increasingly important to consumers. Those who want to save on energy bills and make their homes more environmentally friendly.

The more efficient an appliance is, the higher the efficiency rating. A+++ is the best energy rating you can buy, so the closest you can get to that rating, the better.

Rating vs. Budget

While consumer behaviour pushes for the best ratings, budget often means that you won’t get anything higher than an A+ in budget lines. However, if you are investing in a large appliance that you will own for a long time, it is worth paying more for the long term savings.
