You may already have tanks in your attic space, so this could mean you already have a heat only boiler. Heat only boilers heat a tank for hot water, an F & E tank that allows for expansion (and to ensure that levels are constantly maintained); and a pump that circulates the hot water.

The benefits of a heat only system is that you can have multiple bathrooms running off this system and not lose hot water pressure when using both hot and cold at once. Renewing your system with a more up to date Heat Only system and thermostat is a cost-effective way to upgrade.
