The Benefits of Using an Eco Shower Head

Are eco shower heads really worth installing? They aren’t required for every kind of shower, so it’s important to consider this before purchasing. But an eco shower head can have advantages for some situations, and we will discuss this below.

What is an eco shower head? And who needs one?

An eco shower head regulates the amount of water which comes through, and how fast. They use either pulsating or aeration to achieve this. Some shower types aren’t suited to eco shower heads, due to them having their own regulation, such as electric showers.

Bath / shower mixers and power showers are the two ideal candidates for having an efficient shower head. Bath / shower mixers can be regulated somewhat via the taps, but adding an eco shower head will help this be more consistent.

Power showers use a lot of water, so adding an eco shower head can help reduce this. And don’t worry, just because you are reducing the amount of water used, doesn’t mean you have to reduce the pressure. Many eco shower heads are designed to make a little water go a long way.

What are the benefits?

  • Conserving water
  • Lower water bills
  • Longevity of hot water supply
  • Improved water pressure
  • Lower energy bills
  • Cost effective and easy to install
